RR. 258 (500 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: E.F.C Order No: P.B.58 Customer's No.: X4079a Test of Coils With Increased Insulation Two coils, SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1 and SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2, were made up for us to test as a result of the instructions recently issued to production: i.e. coils to be made up with three layers of .00075" paper instead of two, and the whole to be impregnated with paraffin wax. The production Coils, as they are now to be made, are represented by SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1; while SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2 is the same with the exception of the core, which is made of thicker wire. These two coils have been put through the production tests in conjunction with the 25" ballast, and the results compared with those of the average Goshawk coils.
