To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} Handwritten: X3725 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG19.5.24. TYRES. Handwritten: X4535 [struck through] Handwritten: X3725 We propose running a 40/50 HP. car 10,000 miles in France fitted with Dunlop Balloon Tyres - 7" section. At the present time we have on loan from Messrs. Dunlop 5 wheels and 5 tyres of this size. Owing to the fact that we shall not be able to obtain spares for these tyres easily in France, we require three more wheels complete with tyres. This will make, in all 8 wheels and tyres. The reason we wish to have the three spare wheels is because we wish the cars to run continuously; so that [struck through] we could always have two wheels being repaired in the Garage. Further to the spare wheels, we require two spare tyres so that, in all we wish to take 10 tyres including those fitted on the wheels. Will you please arrange with Messrs. Dunlop with regard to obtaining these tyres and wheels. If they will not let us have them on loan for this test, we shall have to pay for them. We will furnish them with a report in connection with their behaviour every week. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
