| -3- (5) As already confirmed, it was agreed to fit the top scuttle ventilator of the sealed type without tray. (6) The question of locks was discussed, and it appeared that further consultation between yourselves, ourselves, and Messrs. Wilmot Breedon will be necessary to clear up the lock development. In order to proceed with this body Mr. Dodd agreed to send you a sample lock for the driver's door on this body and that the rest of the locks be of the overall pattern. (7) Windscreens, our researches into screen flap were explained by Mr. Dodd. The three salient features to be made were: (a) A central control to the frame or two controls symmetrically disposed about the centre of the base of the screen frame. (b) A stronger frame section which it was agreed could be made possible by an external rubber seal. (c) A stronger fitting for the screen top attachment to the screen rail. 8. It was confirmed that transverse stays to the rear of the body will be fitted to this car and that it is urgent that we should supply you with a scheme for this, in order that an attachment for them in the vicinity of the rear squab board may be provided. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. IM Harvey Bailey CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS | ||
