Re. SS.{S. Smith} I feel certain the roar is due to the unsuitable exhaust system, but varies considerably with different bodies. (In my 18-EX. it is nearly absent.)

We propose abandoning the long tube and cutout, fitting a new type of rear silencer which has no organ pipe. Breaking up the length has not proved a complete cure.

Regarding the Bentley car we do not require purchase.
