GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Kingsbury, 1st February, 1937. Air Cleaners. With reference to your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/R.25.1.37, I have made enquiries here with regard to Bentley's I have just seen a Voke's filter which has been run 10,000 miles and it was practically as clean as the day fitted. I am endeavouring to obtain a dirty one from an old car but Kingsbury state they have not come across one which has been choked. They have made a practice of blowing out the filter on all the carbs. and state it will be impossible to get hold of one, without a Car comes in that has not been to the Depot previously.
