Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.16.11.36. Attached is a copy of a note which we wrote the beginning of September on Future Policy and Engine Design. You may be interested in reading this again. Also E's reply. There is no doubt of course that if we want a new engine for the Wraith, there is still only the in-line push rod engine to be thought of, but when the costing system starts to function it would be useful to have probable cost figures for the types of engines which we have under consideration. I have some further information on die casting from Leylands which we are analyzing and which may have some bearing with regard to whether we can afford aluminium engines, or not.
