Re Accident to Pattinson.

In reply to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CEP:1/EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}16.10.36,
kindly note that Pattinson's arm is progressing satisfactorily according to Dr. Galop's opinion. He has recently had the arm taken out of plaster which was fitted after the second operation, and has a lighter type plaster work, and Dr. Galop wishes his arm to remain for at least another 10 days after which a further X ray photograph will be made to find out what progress has been made in bone making.

Pattinson's progress is extremely slow due to the fact that he makes bone extremely slowly.

It is satisfactory to note that he has completely recovered the use of the nerves controlling his hand, which is a very important fact. Dr. Galop wishes to impress upon us the fact of bone healing so slowly is the cause of the length of time which has elapsed and is likely to take some considerable time before the arm can come out of plaster.

We will let you know the result of Dr. Galop's new report.
