Cost savings for a new fan type and a design update for the fan pulley on Bentley and Phantom III cars.

| -2- We have estimated that a fan of this type will save in the neighbourhood of 17/- per car on Bentley and 25/30 and if used on Ph.III would save approx. 10/- per car. Will you therefore please detail this scheme as soon as possible and if the parts are ready in time, we will send them to France on 6-B-IV car. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. Addition :- Since writing the above, we have received an answer to our Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.5/AP.27.11.36. copy of reply attached. In view of this possible saving, we think that this method of making the fan pulley should be used, together with a die-cast aluminium hub, the hub retaining plate would of course be deleted, the rear pulley flange serving the same purpose. | ||
