-2- pessimistic frame of mind. According to him, he thinks that the Judge is well disposed towards us, and the fact that our driver was not arrested immediately after the accident may be a good sign. Pattinson is being very well looked after. He has a very severe compound fracture of the left arm, which will necessitate an operation of a difficult nature. As I intimately know the surgeon who is attending to Pattinson, I have no fears but that everything will be all right, although he will be out of action for some three months. Please rest assured that everything possible is being done by all concerned, and we hope that eventually this most unfortunate incident will conclude satisfactorily. (Sgd.) Sr. P.S.
