Hanbury - Head Complaints} Châteauroux, le 25 - 3 - 1924 Re - accident to 9PK. 21-3-24. Mr Hives, As I R.Y. Bagley was proceeding from Bourg to Paris, I had the misfortune to meet with an accident about 2 mls from Saulieu. I was travelling about 35 MPH, & just about to pass a horse & trap, the horse shyed & turned broadside across the road. The only alternative I had to avoid colliding with the horse, was to turn on to the grass on the side of the road, in doing so, the rear of the car skidded sideways into a tree. The horse did not show any signs of shying until I was about to pass it. Under the circumstances the accident was unavoidable. R.Y. Bagley | ||
