My dear Robotham,

I was sorry not to see you when I visited your Works yesterday - However, some other time I should like to come over and see you again.

Amongst other things, I wanted to have a word with you about Gordon-Crosby's son, Michael - I know the boy well. He is an extremely nice lad, very intelligent and bright, and is anxious to come to your Works as an apprentice. If you could possibly do anything about this I wonder if you would be good enough to write me, as I do feel he is just the type of lad who would be very suitable from your point of view.

Hoping you are well,

Yours sincerely,

Raymond Mays.
