longer necessary. We believe the shorter and stiffer front horns make for better steering and less jellying of the frame.

(5) Double battery ignition is shown as now used.

(6) Air cleaner is shown raised to clear oil filter in our present location. The single air intake fitting will allow any type of standard cleaner to be fitted.

(7) Extra oil valve of present type(similar to original S.Ghost type) is fitted in present location. Intended to be operated by carburation lever only.

(8) Solid fan adjustment is shown with Dayton rubber fan belt. Although it is a minor point we consider this is the best fan drive we know of for silence and permanence.
The fan spindle is lubricated from the central lubrication system by our present method.

D.L.23.
(1) Shows 3½" kick up for existing coachwork.

(2) The rear of frame should be flanged or otherwise stiffened for bumper.

(3) The bumper bracket cannot be part of the horn forging as suggested earlier because it will be too low. It would have to be attached to the frame somewhat as shown to give a normal load height of 18"-19" as called for by S.A.E. standards.

(4) A frame width of 39" at the rear, an axle 2" wider, and a wheel track of 60" is shown, to get a reasonable width of rear seat for 3 passengers.
The cut for the brake drum is not up to date however.
After discussing this with Mr Southern we are inclined to believe that we should not press for a wider axle till we have more experience.
