To BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BY [crossed out] c. to Ba. [crossed out] X 34616. EFC Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LCS0.3.20. X.34616 CHASSIS - RE PARTS WHICH ARE HELD UP AFTER CHASSIS 1000. [X.34616 and CHASSIS 1000 are crossed out] With reference to Mr. Bailey's memo BY9/F29.3.20 in connection with the above, regarding paragraph (5) Section 7150 - Rear Shock Absorber. I was under the impression that the works were completely instructed for the rear shock absorbers, and that as it has been agreed that all cars we have made shall have these shock absorbers fitted, one would have expected that these will be fitted on to all chassis before we come to the number of 1000. There are no experiments which I know of on shock absorbers which stop the production; there are a number of experiments which might be called improvements.
