With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG16.3.20, the small cantilever which carries the bottom ball end as referred to by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is now being fitted on all chassis coming on test, and as far as possible is being fitted on all chassis on test and being delivered. We take it that when it is definitely settled what action shall be taken with regard to the fitting of rear shock absorbers on cars delivered. special arrangements will be made to prepare tools which will be necessary in order to fit these cantilevers to axle brackets on cars delivered prior to this cantilever being fixed.
