To HY. {Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to RP. c. to Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} X4264 X4150 X4264 We recommend that the thrust washer in the double thrust for the rear axle pinion is keyed to the shaft in a similar manner to what has been proved essential on the 40/50 H.P. You will remember on the 40/50, we frequently have complaints of the controls rattling in the steering column. The noise mostly comes from the slack in the bearing at the top of the steering column. Goshawk 11. appears as though it will have the same fault. We recommend that the clearance at that point is held within fine limits. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
