RE STEERING NUT F.50223.

Will you kindly note that Mr Royce has agreed that the above nut should be made solid and not split, the reason being that we find that the splitting of the nut on the 40/50 is of very little value from the point of view of taking up slack.

Will you kindly look into the matter and see that there is no real reason against this from the point of view of assembling the parts, and providing there is nothing against it arrange to delete the bosses for the bolt holes and produce the piece as a solid nut.

I would like to add that die casting of brass and similar material does not appear likely to be satisfactory, and therefore we should not die cast this piece or other similar pieces, but make them on plate moulds and machine as per our usual practice.
