| -2- (6) We realise that the built in wing lamp already sent to you had the shell in steel. In this case we would be glad if you would make a similar shell in aluminium, but should we use this on production we anticipate no difficulty in obtaining an aluminium shell from the makers. Whilst at Olympia we noticed some very elegant wing lamps of the built-in type on the Phantom III exhibited by Messrs.Young of Bromley. They consisted of a Ford lamp made by Lucas built into a helmet raised out of the ridge of the top of the front wings. If you would prefer to do this, and it would be no more costly, we would be in agreement, as it was proved an appearance which would be unique. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED, P M Harvey Bailey CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS | ||
