Re: Show Chassis.

I attach hereto copy of my memo Sft.{Mr Swift}4/B.7.5.31. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} on this subject.

I have also pointed out that if a scheme could be introduced to use up the crankcases (top and lower halves) of the 1 to 50 'N' type, that it would reduce the scrap figure by £1848; these two items being the biggest factors from a scrap point of view.

The chief points affected are as follows:-

It will be necessary to fasten a pad to the crankcase arm of each to fit the Auto Klean.

Also to find an oil lead to the main oil supply and relief valve.

Another snag is plugging up of the big hole in the joint flange on both lower and top halves.

If such a scheme could be found these chassis could be made and the Auto Klean and Carburetter Air Filter could both be embodied on the 1 to 50 chassis.

Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} would like to have your seperate opinions on this memo please.
