X.4589 - B.L.I.C. VOLTAGE REGULATOR.

Yesterday we had a visit from two representatives of The British Lighting & Ignition Company, who are developing a new form of voltage regulator for chassis systems, more particularly adaptable to machines already operating on third brush control principle.

As we are at this stage becoming interested in externally controlled machines (particularly in connection with E.A.C. work) it was deemed advisable to comply with their request to let them have one of our 20 H.P. dynamos to which to adapt their voltage regulator, after which the whole system will be returned to us for experimental test.

This, therefore, is to ask you to allot to the Expl. Dept. a further 20 H.P. dynamo for this purpose. We should like to be able to have this and despatch it on Monday. To avoid delay we are at the same time sendinge a note to the O.C. for the necessary label etc.
