Electric Petrol Gauges with Warning Device

Further to ROY{Sir Henry Royce}7/MG.11.9.35 re above,
Messrs. S. Smith & Sons advise that the original design is subject to various modifications, following a discussion with Mr. Davis and Mr. West of these Works.

To avoid any possibility of misunderstanding as to what we do require, they have detailed a scheme as they now understand it by Prints Y.42488 and Y.42488 Tank Attachment - originals attached (to E).

Will you kindly confirm that their understanding of what is required is correct or otherwise.

The proposed new scheme embodies the following improvements:

(a) Cast bracket
(2) Lantern type pinion
(3) Improved method of holding bakelite moulding to top plate
(4) Improved moving contact
(5) Warning Light contacts (as required)
