16051 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/MA. 9th July, 1934. H.R.Buckland Esq., Messrs.A.T.Speedometer Co.Ltd., Chronos Works, North Circular Road, London, N.W.2. Dear Mr.Buckland, I have returned to you two instruments which are most urgently required for E.R.Hall's Bentley. These are - rev clock No.G.854 returned for exact calibration and for the clock to be regulated and speedometer No.H.209 returned for the revs per mile to be altered to 724. We do not want the instrument to be more than 3% fast at 60 M.P.H. as we considerallowing for temperature errors and high speed tyre effects it will then be approximately correct. Will you kindly make every endeavour to let me have these instruments back as quickly as possible. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
