For the attention of Mr.West.

Dear Sir,

We acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 9th January and have noted your remarks in regard to the Bulb Shield which you would like to try in conjunction with the new Headlamps.

The proposition is perfectly clear to us since we use a similar device on our Fog Lamps and we do not think any useful purpose would be served by a personal discussion at this stage.

We will have a sample made up but you will of course, appreciate that this is a secondary matter to getting the Headlamp in question into production in time for your requirements and it would be a pity to confuse the issue at the present time.

Yours faithfully,
JOSEPH LUCAS LIMITED.
