Suggesting three tests to be carried out on engine pistons, including anodical oxidisation and etching.

| -2- We suggest that these three tests might be carried out on one engine as follows :- (1) Two pistons anodically oxidised as before for protracted running test. (2). Two pistons as (1) but coating "stiffened" (3) Two pistons suitably etched. It would be an advantage if the two pistons for Test No.3 could be supplied with approx. 0.001" increase in diameter, to allow for any slight reduction during etching. We note that you will shortly have a number of Cadillac pistons anodically oxidised, for our inspection after running. Hl. HP. | ||
