Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 26th April, 1937. Geo. Mead, Esq., Connaught Hotel, Carlos Place, L O N D O N. Dear Mead, I wired you on Saturday as follows:- "Expect you both Thursday next any time convenient. "Have arranged accommodation Thursday and Friday "night. Letter in post." We are looking forward to seeing you and Chadfield on Thursday next at any time to suit your convenience. If you are allotting the full day to coming up to Derby, perhaps you would like to call in the Factory first and see one or two of our people. We are then hoping that you will dine with us at Duffield. I am sorry that owing to the incomplete state of my house I shall not be able to put you up, but, fortunately, The Company's house, where visitors stay, has just been finished off and Mr. Hives will be delighted if you will stay there as long as you feel inclined. I am assuming that you will be in Derby at least Thursday and Friday night and that Mr. Chadfield will be with you all the time. Yours sincerely, | ||
