Friction for Servo Balance Arm.
With reference to our N. Sch.4314 showing cotton duck applied to the friction joint, 'E' points out that in the case where the fabric is attached to the bracket, better operation will be obtained by increasing the gaps in the fabric so that the edges of the steel arm never bear on the fabric.
We give a sketch below of the modification required.
