Attention of C.Ward,Esq., Dear Sir, Re: Short Wheelbase Bentley 1-B-5. Four Door Close Coupled Saloon. We are now able to send you complete instructions to enable you to rebuild the Dummy Chassis, and to construct the body for the above chassis. All of the drawings and a complete specification are enclosed herewith, and we would be glad to receive your comments on the latter forthwith. With respect to the dummy chassis we appreciate that all except the radiator is scrapped. On the print of the latter we shew how it can be modified to be used. We agree that the body be constructed using your latest lightened All-metal technique, and since the chassis will be more rigid we wish the weight reduced from that of the body of B-117-JY, which was approximately 9 1/4 cwts to 8 1/2 cwts, which figure is only 28 lbs less than that for the first all-steel body of B-56-BN.{W.O.
