Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler}5/JH. 4th August, 1937. Messrs. Borg & Beck Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa. Dear Sirs, re 10" and 11" Clutches. We have under consideration the possibility of changing over the size of the splines in the hub of the driven plate from 1¼" 10 spline S.A.E. standard to 1½" 10 spline S.A.E. standard. We note that this size is given as an option in the case of the 11" plate, and we are therefore assuming that this can also be done for the 10" because the hubs to us appear to be identical. Would you kindly confirm whether we are correct in this assumption, and whether you could change to the 1½" splines at a very short notice. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
