[Handwritten note: Wrote] We have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 4th. instant and note that you are considering the possibility of changing over the size of the driven plate hub splines from 1¼"-10 to 1½"-10 S.A.E. We would advise that there would be no difficulty in making this change apart from that occasioned in obtaining new hub stamping which we estimate will take approximately 5/6 weeks from the date of your instructions. You will appreciate that the driven plate hub with which you are now supplied on the above clutches is not standard with us, being offset to meet your special requirements. In conclusion we would point out that you do not advise us regarding the reasons for this contemplated change, and apart from the new clutch shaft which will be required we take it that you appreciate that a complete new release bearing assembly and a new nose extension on the gear-box will also be necessary.
