RE CENTRAL LUBRICATION.

With reference to our Meeting at Derby on Wednesday, concerning the above, I understand the position is as follows:-

(1) You have schemes from WW. for the 40/50 h.p. and the pieces are being made and fitted on to a car which should be ready to proceed to France in the course of the next fortnight or so.

(2) You have quite a large amount of the material for the 20 h.p. from WW. and this, generally, has been applicable only to "India-3".

By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} think that by going through the drawings they can adapt this to our present production chassis, bearing in mind that it is extremely urgent that we should have central lubrication as soon as possible, and it is quite impossible for us to announce this system on the 40/50 h.p. without also being able to announce it for the 20 h.p.

I understand the Works will treat this matter as being most urgent.

BJ.
