Contd:- -3- I also think that the numbering and the direction of rotation should be clockwise and the "full" position of the needle should be vertical at the top namely 12 o'clock for the 14 galls. "Half full" would then be approximately down where it is difficult to see. I found the gauge a great convenience and very sensetive and I think when nicely finished will be a distinct move. Most of the other details also appeared to be distinct improvements but there are a few springs in the controls which require modification, for instance the spring on the needle valve and the vacuum tank are much too fierce, (replaced by a new one by me in a few minutes) and on the hand control, whereas the spring to support the foot while operating the accelerator is insufficiently stiff, and forces one to suspend a foot by the muscle which results in it becoming tired.
