Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. NST 86117 BY/RD5/W.23.5.33. "Bensport" Wiring Diagrams. We have considered the remarks in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst6/MA.19.5.33. (1) Dynamo Battery Circuit. Would you please arrange to have a Dynamo and Regulator run and reproduce the condition of the regulator sticking in order to determine whether the fuse will protect the cutout shunt coil. To connect the system up as you suggest causes a certain amount of undesirable connections mechanically. It would appear that we really require two fuses for which we have not the accommodation. (2) Petrol Gauge. It is not agreed that the petrol gauge should indicate the contents of the petrol tank only when the instrument board light switch is operated. We are, however, asking Smiths if they can incorporate the fuse in the gauge, as suggested. (3) Ignition Coil. This has been adjusted. (4) Accessory Fuses. This question is a "hardy annual" and cannot be considered in respect of the "Bensport" only, but is a point to be raised in connection with all chassis at some later date. For your information, we have taken the fusing current of Production fuses and it is 30 amps., as I anticipated. Although the fusing current for that amount of wire is 15 amps., according to calculation it depends largely how the fuse wire is suspended on the result one obtains. BY/RD. | ||
