| v Jor/Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}2/1.15315. -2- axle wanders about from side to side on the drums over a range of perhaps 6" to 9", there- fore if the bump strikes the wheel when it is at the limit of its side movement a fairly heavy lateral shock must be given to the spring support brackets. As suggested by you we are transferring the springs to a position below the axle and also fitting split main plates to the rear springs.
