Dear Sirs, We wish to confirm telephone conversation of this morning when you requested advice as to when the rig to carry out bursting tests on facings would be completed. Position has been investigated and we anticipate that rig will be completed by Thursday next. It is indeed regretted that we were unable to adhere to Mr. Armitage's original promise, but the delay occasioned has been due solely to our failure to obtain certain material in sufficient time. It is understood that you are desirous of visiting these Works as soon as ever possible to see these tests carried out and the writer will communicate with you again in the course of the next few days giving you some definite information. Finally, we have received certain detail drawings of the 13½" Driven Plate, and our Technical Department wish to raise several points in connection with same, and we feel that it would be the best procedure for you to go into this matter when you come over to see the bursting tests.
