To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} S E C R E T. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG27.10.24. E.A.C.11. We are anxious to make 93-NK car into a modern EAC.11. as far as possible. We should like the following units fitted to this car :- 1. New Engine. This should have lowest compression pistons. The Pistons should have the wide bevel scraper ring. - Low Lift 110° Camshaft. 2. New EAC.11. Gearbox. We should like, if possible, this to have the stiffer Servo Gear Shafts and 2 to 1 spur reduction on the Servo. 3. New Engine Coupling. We should like the fabric joints to be as large a diameter as possible, taking advantage of the fact that the starter motor will be on the engine. 4. New Steering - slower type. New Steering Wheel Controls. 5. Control to Front Axle - still retaining the 43½" springs. 6. We should like to fit the Electrical Units as far as possible especially the Starter, even if this means rigging up temporary wiring scheme. Before the engine goes into the chassis we should like to run it on the Test Bed - this is after it has been fitted with low compression pistons, and 110° Camshaft. Please also fit to this engine Stronger Springs for the Spring Drive. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
