E.A.C.II.
---

Replying to your BY2/H.24.10.24. we appreciate the necessity of getting the outstanding E.A.C.II. points cleared up. Referring to the items you mention in the same order:-

1. Petrol Tank.
---
This is awaiting the decision on the question of the reserve compartment, which in its turn is waiting some sketches which we started on, but were unable to finish owing to other work supervening. We hope to get this settled in the next day or two. I think it very likely that no reserve compartment will be authorised, and that the tank will be as the present 40/50 except for length to suit the wider frame.

2. Controls for Dipping Head Lights.
---
We are at present doing the body underframe which we think is a more urgent job than the dipping lights. We hope to take up the latter however immediately afterwards.

3. Brake Ropes Fouling.
---
We sent you a scheme for overcoming this on Saturday.

4. Torque Reaction Dampers.
---
This has been discussed with R and a policy decided upon, and we are now working upon it. It should be finished today or tomorrow.
