New scheme for adapting Lucas R.IOO headlamps for Continental use, proposing a switch instead of rewiring.

Re attached, I do not know whether I was meant to keep this as it appears to be your copy of the note to By, so I am returning it to you herewith having noted contents. My only criticism of this apparently excellent alternative scheme is that we want to try and avoid leaving to our owners the necessity of changing over wires,even in the lamps themselves, as so many of them are probably quite unable to tackle these jobs without the risk of messing up the headlamp wiring generally. If therefore the changeover could be effected by means of switches either in the lamps,or preferably on the instrument board, so much the better. Do you think you are likely to have this scheme ready for trying out in the near future, so that we can quickly decide that it is all we expect of it and can adopt is as our future standard for all cars.
