Servo Jaggers and Brake Thuds. | W. - N. - P. - | W. 11. N. 16. P. - Total: 27. | 27. | Scheme for allowing flexibility in servo operation has been standardised. On those cars where no flexibility device is fitted, the halos are re-bedded.

Starter Motor Failures. | W. - N. 2. P. - | W. 3. N. 8. P. 2. Total: 15. | 39. | With the existing design we still have trouble. Information has been circularised at different times dealing with the various methods of overcoming the trouble

Steering Joggles and Wobbles. | W. 4. N. 2. P. - | W. 9. N. 10. P. 1. Total: 26. | 52. | We are successfully dealing with the low speed steering wobble by fitting the spring loaded cross steering tube. High speed wobbles are practically non-existent. The latest worm and nut has considerably improved joggles, and we are introducing it on replacement for older cars.

Springing Complaints. | W. - N. 2. P. - | W. 13. N. 5. P. 3. Total: 24. | 18. | Dithering at slow speeds, pitching at high speeds. Cadmium plated springs are now used, springs are oiled and high pressure valves to hydraulic shock absorbers are drilled. We are trying a definite lubrication scheme on the same lines as Phantom I.
