Bailey - Chief Engineer} is instructing a modified scheme for this bracket. Exhaust Blows Manifold. | W. 1. N. 2. P. - | W. 8. N. 38. P. 3. 52. | 54. | The blowing occurs between the manifold and cylinder joints and also at the down pipe joint. We have not got a cure for this. It is specially prevalent on cars which are run at high speeds. Hydraulic Shock Absorber Knocks. | W. 2. N. 1. P. - | W. 24. N. 20. P. 2. 49. | 32. | Similar remarks apply as in the case of the 40/50 HP. Chassis. Rear Axle Thrust. | W. 1. N. 1. P. - | W. 9. N. 19. P. 1. 31. | 30. | The old design is improved and the modification is applicable to older cars. Up-to-date we have no record of a failure where all the latest modifications have been introduced. This is being carefully watched. We should like to hear from N. why the proportion of complaints with them is so much higher than with other Depots, if they are adopting all the latest modifications, and what particular part of the axle thrust goes wrong. | ||
