r 7960. S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}..from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} DH.{D. Henderson - Showroom} PN.{Mr Northey}1/WTS.12.32. Sir Norman Watson. New 40/50 H.P. car on order. This gentleman definitely holds the opinion that his new car should have the radiator shutters controlled by hand when desired because much of his work will be in the winter in the mountains. There is of course a good deal to be said for this point, the inevitable delay in action in the closing of the shutters might be very troublesome under those circumstances. Will you let me know please whether it becomes feasible to fit a simple form of hand-control so that by disconnecting a lever or part from the thermostat the operation is entirely manual, also I should be in a position to inform Sir Norman Watson what would be the cost of making this modification to his chassis before it is delivered.
