WORK TO BE DONE ON 3 1/2 LITRE BENTLEY
CHASSIS NO. B.189.AE.

ENGINE.
(1). Cure bad thrash which is present in varying degrees when cold, and gradually lessens as the engine warms up.
(2). Overhaul water pump and drive.
(3). Check up piston clearance. Some tapping experienced.
(4). Check up for general noise in engine.
(5). Plug in induction heater pipe leaks.
(6). General acceleration and performance somewhat fallen off. Consider Compression Ratio under Pool petrol conditions; is a packing washer possible ?
(7). Continual trouble with dynamo failing during last 18 months. Three regulators have been purchased. Commutator gives great deal of trouble. This dynamo question is serious, and is causing continual trouble.
(8). New fan belt.
Any other jobs requiring attention to make the engine in thoroughly good condition.

CHASSIS.
(1). Take out rattle of radiator shutters.
(2). Deal with gear lever rattle - very bad.
(3). Overhaul brakes.
(4). Steering tends to pull to the left. This has been bad since driving in Norway over very rough roads.
(5). Fit one new shock absorber. (Brought to Works with car.)
(6). Back axle bevel is noisy. Cure and check up back lash.
(7). Check up on camber of springs. The chassis is somewhat harsh, and rattles badly as if the springs have settled down.
(8). Generally go over chassis.
