1280 xxx 2424 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.9/MH.{M. Huckerby} 14th. January 1938. Messrs. John Marston Ltd., Wolverhampton. For the attention of Mr. Dunn. Dear Sirs, Confirming our telephone conversation of to-day with Mr. Smith, we are despatching to you one Bentley III radiator matrix, EB.3513 and one bottom tank EB.3514 to suit. Will you please dip solder the tank to the matrix in a similar manner to what a production job would be, as discussed with Mr.Dunn, and return same to us with a minimum of delay. If possible the writer would like Mr. Dunn to bring this unit with him if he is coming over to Derby to see Mr.Royce on Monday. In any case, it is essential that the matrix and tank should be returned to us by Tuesday and no later. We understand that the tools for producing shutter vanes will be ready in approximately 10 days time. We would like you to let us know if there is likely to be any delay as we are anxious to obtain some pressings off them for the first Bentley III Radiator. We have received your letter of 13th, inst. for which we thank you. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
