Performance comparison and potential modification of various engine magnetos.

No 83132 which we found to be better and equal in performance to No 98033. However we have handed this pair (Nos. 98033/4) over for the engine and we now suggest asking EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s men to particularly watch the weakest magneto No. 98034 whilst running up the engine preliminary to starting the 100 hr test and if they consider it necessary we can easily change it for No. 83132.
We consider it necessary now to take an up-to-date B.T.H. and Watford aero magneto and compare them side by side with our general specification as we are of the opinion that Watford aero magnetos could be considerably improved in electrical performance by one or two slight modifications which we might after consideration suggest to Messrs North's.
