A brief summary of the points discussed on Sunday.

I. Preventing unauthorised ingress into the premises.

We have discussed verbally with you the provision of a watchman's hut. The wiring round the derby side of the building and the supply of a suitable bottom gate has also been discussed. This matter is now becoming urgent as, with the amount of material we now have at the Clan we must keep unauthorised people out.

2. Yard.

We understand that you will get the yard tarred during the next day or so.

3. Runway in the erecting shop.

We observe that the drawing for this runway shows a separate girder support in the shop which takes up a good deal of room. As there are several existing girders to which the runway could be attached, we shall be glad if you would give the matter further consideration.

4. Cycle Shed.

The location of this has now been settled; please urge completion.

5. Canteen refuse.

The disposal of rubbish is causing us some concern, and the matter will be aggravated when the number of people having meals is trebled.(Is it possible to get some form of incinerator to deal with the rubbish?)

6. Blackout.

Please urge measures discussed as we may shortly have to run certain sections to 10 p.m.

7. Coal storage.

Provision for a month's supply to be accomodated close to the lower gate. Also provision to prevent the coal stored in the boiler house from spreading all over the floor. A small screen to hide the glare from the boiler.
