(5) Contd.

The trench at present is higher at the drain end than at the non drain end and consequently it can never be dried out and cleaned.

When incorporating the PhIII silencer at the petrol bridge end will you also look into the possibility of draining the trench at this position. If this cannot be arranged then the floor of the trench should be altered so as to drain where existing drain is placed.

In conjunction with the silencers jacketed manifolds and internal water sprays to be included similar to the rig up on the OHC bed in No.30.

(6) Petrol and water pipes to be sunk in small trenches at present these are above the floor and get damaged, look untidy and make it difficult for cleaning.

(7) All water control taps to be brought together at the front of the engines, at hand for the tester at the controls and gauges as in No. 30 bed.

(8) 2 U tube boards as fixtures to the panel on which the floatchambers are housed.

(9) Safety switches for cutting out battery out of work hours obviating risk of fire.

(10) Water cooling and flow apparatus as asked for in the new test house, sketch to follow.

(11) Up to date desk and instrument panels for each engine as No. 30 bed.

(12) Improper fitting windows to be corrected and latches mended so that they cannot be opened from outside.

(13) Cross rail which is not used and in the way to be removed from the front of the Bentley bed.

(14) Galvanometer and tripod to be ordered.

(15) New DPX4 dynamometer to be ordered for the Bentley bed in place of the existing DPX3 which is too small for the job and is getting worn out.

(16) Whole house to be whitewashed and repainted.
