WST seen Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y6000. BY.9/G.9.4.35. SCREENED PLUGS - KESTREL X., Xl and Xll. --------------------------------------- In the past the Air Ministry appear to have winked at the fact that it is apparently almost impossible to fit a screened plug on the inlet side of the above type of engine, but our Civil customers are asking us to make arrangements for screened plugs to be fitted on both the exhaust and inlet on Kestrel Xl. engines delivered and others likely to be ordered. We do not know whether this is possible or not, we know it is extremely difficult, and we think that Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. should give this matter careful consideration. In the meantime we are telling our customers we have no proposition to put forward at the present moment. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
