Herewith one or two jobs we should like carrying out as soon as possible :-

SpectreCodename for Phantom III.

(1) Fit a SpectreCodename for Phantom III rear axle under the Vulture for dynamometer tests. We suggest using the axle from No.3 chassis. If it is necessary to move this chassis in the meantime the skeleton axle on the bump chassis could be used.

(2) (a) Fit a new set of 25° obliquity gears to the J-3 box in the Vulture. Their dynamometer life in the above test will then afford an exact comparison with previous tests.
(b) Fit a pair of 1st speed gears Ex.13727/8. There is a pair in the other J-III box.
(c) Prepare a second pair of 2 (b) as they are very unlikely to last 2 hours full torque.

(3) Measure up slack in the gearbox removed from No. 2 car and particularly that of the 1st motion shaft and the third speed free pinion.
