COPY. MESSRS. W.T. GLOVER & CO.LTD. TRAFFORD PARK MANCHESTER. M.D. 8th June 1926. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited. Derby. Dear Sirs, Replying to your letter of the 4th. instant, the sample marked "A" has been made to an A.I.D. specification, and does not correspond either as regards the conductor, diameter over insulation, or method of manufacture with the motor car ignition cable which we supply to you and which we understood it to be when it was shewn to us at Derby last week. We find, however, on analysis that it is of our make, apparently in connection with an order received in October 1924. We much regret that the misunderstanding referred to above led us to assume that the cable was not of our make. With regard to sample "B", this is certainly of our manufacture. The decentralization referred to is probably a local variation, to which any make of wire is subject, but the risk is usually confined to near the ends of factory lengths, and if such is not the case in this instance, we shall be pleased to replace it. Yours faithfully, (Signed) Alfred D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Chandler, Managing Director. | ||
