Dear Sir, Very many thanks for your weekly reports in connection with the 20 h.p. Rolls Royce trials of Rapson 32 x 4 1/2 S.S. Tyres. We note with great pleasure that the two retreads running on the rear have now run 15,625 miles and still appear good for further running. We also note that the two original front tyres have now reached 16,459 miles, that one shows the cords rather badly and the other the worse for wear. As we do not wish these tyres to be run on until the cords are completely worn away, thus permitting the tube to burst through the tread portion, we would suggest the front pair of tyres be removed forthwith and that as the rear pair reaches the same condition, you do likewise and return all four for our inspection and report. In a previous letter you stated that the "average" rear tyre mileage returned by all other makes you had tested was under 9000. Taking the retreading into consideration, we would appreciate your views on the pair of Rapson Tyres which have now run nearly 16,000 miles on the back of your 20 h.p. trial car, also the pair which, without retreading, have exceeded this mileage on the front.
