To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X8240 SECRET. E3/MM3.1.25. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. RE. SERIES 'V' CONTROLS. X. 8240 X. 8430 Regarding the discussion in connection with the above during your last visit here, we have now got out a scheme for 'B' steering which will be sent by the next post, and in which the slow opening mechanism for the throttle has been inverted, allowing the use of a longer control post on the engine. We propose to use this inverted mechanism for 'C' and 'D' steerings also, and we are at the moment working on these latter and will send them at the earliest possible moment.
