Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.6/MA. March 10th., 1933.

Messrs. Joseph Lucas & Co. Ltd.,
Well Street,
Birmingham.

For the attention of Mr.E.A.Watson.

Dear Sirs,

When discussing the question of vibrator regulators with your Mr.Robinson on the occasion of our last visit to your Works, we stated to him that we had experienced trouble with a C.A.V. bosch.regulator unit due to its inconsistency of operation. In one instance this regulator stuck such that a voltage of 25 to 30 on the shunt coil was found necessary to effect operation, the normal voltage is approximately 15.

Mr.Robinson stated that if we cared to return this regulator to him he would arrange to have same tested and replaced if found faulty.

We are returning the regulator to you under separate cover for the purpose of your tests and shall be pleased if you will send us a replacement regulator by return of post if possible, as we are urgently requiring the same for test. The regulator in question is type B2H1 number 8248.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED
